Most growth in Nebraska has centered around highways and metro areas, and smaller, more rural communities in Nebraska have even lost population in recent years. While more affordable then other areas, Nebraska is still a great investment. Even through 2008, with a slow economy facing the nation, land in Western Nebraska increased in value, making it a great investment opportunity for buyers. Live water is plentiful, making Nebraska land with water rights even more valuable.
Nebraska is a jewel. It's not just the affordable properties that abound, but the people and their refreshing way of life. Thus if you like wide open spaces, small communities, a short commute time, natural beauty then the "Good Life" in Nebraska life is for you. But locals will say... just don't broadcast the lifestyle and affordability too loudly, as too many people will move in!
