The Closing of a home sale
is also known as the settlement or the closing of escrow. The typical closing is
a meeting of the buyer, the seller, the buyer's closing company, the seller's
closing company, and anyone who represents the buyer or seller. The meeting
occurs to formally sign all the documents that need to be signed, account for
all the expenses of the transaction, and exchange the keys and garage door
openers to the home.
